Case report – Recurrent ulcers in a patient with post-thrombotic syndrome

Leg ulcers can be a challenge to heal, especially when the underlying problem is caused by post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS).

PTS is present in 5–10% of cases of venous hypertension and treatment is complex with many possible medical and surgical options (Saedon and Stansby, 2010; Kahn, 2011).
