In response to problems with spontaneous fluid ingress (strikethrough) in pressure-reducing support surfaces, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has worked alongside industry, testing a new mattress cover material. Since January 2012, mattresses supplied with Invacares Strikethrough Resistant Technology (SRT) fabric have been in constant, heavy use throughout the hospitals.
