Safe, time-saving, cost-effective ABPI measurement with automated machines

An abundance of literature has been written about leg ulcer incidence and management costs (Lindsay and Whiteley, 2018). With an ageing population, an increasing incidence of long-term conditions and challenging financial environment, healthcare providers and commissioners face significant challenges (Lindsay and Whiteley, 2018). Clinicians must be aware of advances in medical technology and promote health and education designed to prevent disease. New-generation medical devices used in everyday practice enable clinicians to assess and treat patients more effectively, resulting in better outcomes and increased quality of life (Dowsett and Taylor, 2018).
