The Barnstaple Leg Club pilot was launched in April 2012 and is the first of its kind in the South West of England. It is a multiagency, multisector project, funded by the Devon Primary Care Trust and now supported by the Northern Locality of the North, East and Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group. It is clinically supported through the Barnstaple Cluster Community Nursing Team and Tissue Viability Services at Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust.
