Burns are injuries that most people suffer at some point in their lives, these injuries however can range from a simple burn from an iron to major life threatening injury.

Some of these patients will be treated at regional burn services, but many will be managed locally. Therefore, an understanding of the management of burns is needed by local clinicians.
