Effective local management of wound exudate is dependent upon dressing selection. There are numerous dressings available, and selection should be based upon factors such as fluid-retention and handling capabilities, comfort during wear time, and if the dressing adhesive results in trauma and pain during removal. This article describes the dressing’s characteristics and presents two case reports describing its use in practice.
