Pam Hibbs CBE 1935-2021

15 January 2021

It is with great sadness that we have to report that Pam Hibbs has passed away.

It is with great sadness that we have to report that Pam Hibbs died of Covid-19 on 12 January 2021. Pam had been ill for a week in the HDH of UCLH – where she was very well cared for.

Pam will be remembered for her pioneering work in so many areas within nursing, and for leading the nursing service at Barts, Hackney Hosipital, Homerton Hospital and Barts and The London.

Pam’s philosophy was that the only thing she strived for and was important to her was the improvement of patient care. It is indeed the end of an era.
