The use of tissue expansion in burn deformity reconstruction: part one

Since their introduction in 1975, tissue expanders have been used for many procedures that encompass both aesthetic and reconstructive aims (Argenta and Marks, 2006). Expanders are used in both paediatric and adult patients (Argenta and Marks, 2006).
